It is just that almost NO ONE fits the criteria for it. If you DO have the contacts, DO have a shipper you trust and DO have the means to find a car there, you can get very nice Zs for ultra cheap. I'm not talking about govaard's $1,800 TT type of cars, that have been a bit beat up and are questionable (especially how the Japanese drive cars into the ground). That's a risk for some and not worth it to most. In my case, I had the chance to bring over a single owner (a guy I knew), silver 2+2TT with 18,000 miles on it for $5,500. The car could have been to my door for a little over $7,800 after fees and shipping and I'd have to do a bunch of paperwork. Sadly, he sold the car before I could make up my mind and do the necessary research. Even though I've just posted there IS sometimes a decent reason to do it, this is almost never the case for a car you can get here that is basically the same. For you, my friend, I wouldn't even bother with it. It can be a HUGE headache and you could end up throwing money away and being in a world of crap.
